Covid-19 has made tens of millions health-conscious. Immunity-boosting dishes and food products have been promoted in different ways. What if we told you a particular sort of home-made Chutney can bolster your immunity like only a few products can?
Top nutritionist Laveen Kaur takes to her Facebook page to explain how to make the chutney. Here we bring you the method of making it:
Ingredients required:
Raw mango (ambi) - 1
piece Garlic - 3
pods Ginger - 2 inch
Onion - 1/2 small
Tomato - 1 small
Anar dana (Pomegranate seeds) - 1 tbsp
Fresh curry leaves - 10-12
Fresh ajwain leaves - 4-5
Fresh sweet basil leaves (niazbo) - 5-6
Fresh mint leaves - 1 cup
Fresh coriander leaves - 1 cup
Green chilli - 2-3
Salt (rock salt) - as per taste
Tamarind/Jaggery (optional)
The above ingredients should be crushed in Mortar and Pestle till it forms smooth chutney-like consistency.
Health benefits:
Raw mango, tomato and pomegranate seeds are rich in Vitamin C. - Ginger, garlic, onion & tomato are rich in antioxidants and essential vitamins & minerals. - All fresh leaves aid in better digestion. - Sweet basil leaves also help relieve nausea.
Helps diabetics, helps to relieve acidity (remove chilli from recipe), constipation, reduces anaemia, and is good for PCOD, Thyroid and any other hormonal imbalance.
Avoid the chutney if you have IBS and pregnant.
