The third wave in Telangana is a thing of the past, as per the official statement issued by the Public Health Director G Srinivas Rao, on Tuesday. As per him, the Omicron-induced wave has almost come to an end. He attributed the success to Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, adding that the wave has been brought under control in just 45 days in the State.
In a statement today, the top health official also urged the IT sector to end the Work From Home norm and encourage its employees to come back to the office. This is in keeping with the government policy of re-opening all educational institutions. Unlike schools, which can’t forever offer education online, IT companies have been managing the WFH arrangement with spectacular success.
The health official also said that commercial establishments can be run at the fullest capacity in the State.
Since January first week, Telangana has maintained the most minimum restrictions, unlike Maharashtra, Delhi and Tamil Nadu, among other States.
