Thiagarajan Kumaraja made heads turn with his very first film 'Aaranya Kaandam' released in the year 2010 which is considered one of the all-time great films of Tamil cinema. The film starred Jackie Shroff, Guru Somasundaram Ravi Krishna and Yasmin Ponnappa with music score by Yuvan Shankar Raja and produced by SPB Charan.

In the next ten years, he has only made one film as director, the critically acclaimed hit 'Super Deluxe' that had Vijay Sethupathi, Fahadh Faasil, Samantha, Mysskin and Ramya Krishnan in the cast. Fans have been curious as to what next from the maverick filmmaker and a buzz is coming along which sounds good.

It is said in Kollywood circles that Thiagarajan Kumaraja has firmed up his next script and is likely to cast Fahadh Faasil in the lead. Fahadh in a recent interview stated that he has a very good bonding with the director and in fact he approached him to do a Malayalam film with him five years before 'Super Deluxe' but he refused.

The Thiagarajan Kumaraja-Fahadh Faasil project is in its very nascent stage and official confirmation could take some time coming considering the coronavirus pandemic forced lockdown.
