Atlee confirms Thalapathy Vijay and Shah Rukh Khan movie after ‘Jawan’ box office storm

Atlee one of the leading commercial filmmakers of Tamil cinema has now conquered the elusive frontier of Bollywood one should say.  His latest film ‘Jawan’ starring Shah Rukh Khan, Vijay Sethupathi, Nayanthara and Deepika Padukone is racing towards the rupees one thousand crores collection mark.  This makes Atlee the first Tamil director to achieve the feat.

In his most recent interaction in Bollywood, Atlee has confirmed that during the famous meeting of Thalapathy Vijay and Shah Rukh Khan on his birthday he expressed his desire to direct them both in one film.  respectively had agreed immediately.  

Atlee stated in the video that he thought that the superstars of Bollywood and Kollywood respectively had said it as a courtesy since it was his birthday.  But Vijay had called him the next day and told him he is interested in such a project and when SRK who was beside him at the time asked Vijay if he is serious he had given his word to him as well.  The director who has cent percent hit record in his career further added that the two biggest stars in the country are regularly asking him for updates on the script.

Atlee gave his word to fans that as soon as he finds the right knot for a screenplay that could have both SRK and Vijay he will instantly start the project.  Shah Rukh Khan’s next release is ‘Dunki’ directed by Rajkumar Hirani which is releasing for Christmas 2023.

Thalapathy Vijay’s ‘Leo’ directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj is getting ready for release on October 19th.  He will begin shooting for ‘Thalapathy 68’ directed by Venkat Prabhu in a few weeks time.  There is already a hot buzz that Atlee will direct Vijay’s ‘Thalapathy 69’ but as of now we dont know if SRK will be part of this project or not.
