Massive! ‘Beast’ release date officially announced with an intense poster featuring Thalapathy Vijay!

The latest breaking news that the fans and south Indian film industry have been anxiously expecting is finally here. The makers officially announced the release date of Thalapathy Vijay’s upcoming biggie on their social media pages. It is now confirmed that ‘Beast’ will hit the screens worldwide on April 13, as we reported earlier.

Produced by Kalanithi Maran’s Sun Pictures and directed by ‘Doctor’ fame Nelson Dilipkumar, ‘Beast’ will clash with Yash starrer ‘KGF Chapter 2’, scheduled to release on April 14, at the box office. According to sources, the movie’s overseas rights sold for a whopping price of INR 32 crores and Telugu rights for INR 11 crores, which is the highest pre-release business in Tamil cinema.

The ensemble cast of the film comprises Vijay, Pooja Hegde, Aparna Das, Selvaraghavan, Shine Tom Chacko, Yogi Babu, Redin Kingsley and Sathish Krishnan. The ‘Thuppakki’ actor is said to be playing an army officer, who has taken up a rescue mission of hostages held in a shopping mall taken over by the terrorists, in the black comedy thriller. ‘Beast’ has music scored by Anirudh Ravichander with visuals by Manoj Paramahamsa and cuts by Nirmal.
