Sangeeth Shobhan’s ‘Raakaasaa’ Revealed as the Title of Niharika Konidela’s #PEP2

Raakaasaa is an upcoming fantasy-comedy that has officially stepped into the spotlight with the unveiling of its title announcement poster, confirming a worldwide theatrical release on April 3, 2026. Introduced as #PEP2, the film marks a significant milestone as it moves confidently toward release.

The title announcement poster sets the film’s myth-driven tone with striking visual clarity. Framed around a dramatic solar eclipse breaking through stormy clouds, the imagery strongly leans into fantasy and folklore. The title Raakaasaa appears in an organic, root-like texture with a subtle inner glow, evoking elemental power and ancient mythos. Notably, the poster refrains from overt comic symbolism, hinting that the film’s humor will arise naturally from its characters and narrative rather than surface-level visual cues.

The film features a diverse and well-balanced ensemble cast led by Sangeeth Shobhan and Nayan Sarika. They are joined by Vennela Kishore, Brahmaji, Tanikella Bharani, Ashish Vidyarthi, Getup Srinu, Sukwinder Singh, Annapurnamma, Anoopsingh Thakur, Ramana Bhargav, Vasu Inturi, Rohini (Jabardast), and Rohan (90’s), among others. The casting reflects a strong mix of familiar faces and character-oriented performers, aligning well with the film’s fantasy-comedy framework.

Written and directed by Manasa Sharma, Raakaasaa carries a unified creative vision, with story, screenplay, dialogues, and direction all handled by her. Mahesh Uppala serves as the additional screenplay writer. The technical team includes Anudeep Dev as composer, Raju Edurolu, Anwar Ali, and action choreographer Vijay. Production design is led by Ramanjaneyulu, with Pulla Vishnu Vardhan as art director and Sandhya Sabbavarapu overseeing costumes.

The film recently completed a major action-heavy schedule choreographed by Vijay, followed by comedy-driven sequences and key narrative portions that enhance character dynamics. With the bulk of the shoot now wrapped, only one song and approximately four days of talkie portions remain, placing Raakaasaa firmly in the final stages of production.

Produced by Niharika Konidela and Umesh Kumar Bansal, with Manyam Ramesh as Executive Producer, Raakaasaa continues Niharika Konidela’s commitment to youthful, content-driven cinema. The film is presented as A Niharika Konidela Production and is backed by Pink Elephant Pictures in association with Z Studios, with ZEE5 also coming on board, further strengthening the project’s scale and visibility ahead of its April 3, 2026 theatrical release.
