Vijay, Nayanthara, Karthi, Suriya… to receive summons for Jallikattu

The Pro-Jallikattu protests that began in Marina beach on the 4th of January 2017 made history as millions of students and eleders joined for protecting the world’s oldest culture.  The movement which went on peacefully for several days ended in the Tamil Nadu government bringing on an ordinance to conduct the jallikattu.

However things turned ugly on the 23rd of January when police lathi charged the protestors where violence ensued and the city came to a standstill.  An inquiry commission was set up headed by Justice Rajeshwaran in which 1951 people have provided deposition and further summons have been sent to 447 others.  The judge has stated that all the Kollywood stars who attended the protest will also be summoned.

It may be recalled that other than Rajini, Kamal and Ajith many stars including Vijay, Surya, Nayanthara, Karthi, Sivakarthikeyan, Raghava Lawrence and others took part.
