The lockdown due to the coronavirus pandemic is sure curbing the spread of the disease but at the same time has rendered thousands of daily wage earners on the brink of poverty with even one square meal becoming a question mark every day. One Ameen and Kansulabi belonging to Kadaiyanallur in Tenkasi district after a love marriage migrated to Theni where they worked as daily laborers.
Due to to the lockdown Ameen could not go to work for the past one and a half months and not only could not manage to get food on the table but also medicines for his five-month pregnant wife. They could not get back to their parent’s house due to lack of transportation too and the Tenkasi Thalapathy Vijay fans club members brought their plight to the star’s notice.
Vijay saw to it that five thousand rupees was deposited into Ameen’s account within two hours and the young couple have thanked him for the timely help that could sustain them for a few weeks. It is worth mentioning that Vijay has deposited the same amount to many of his fan club members who are in need apart from making 1.3 Crores contribution to the four South Indian states and central government funds and FEFSI union of the cine field.
