Diwali is the festival that is celebrated with most merriments across India and especially families prefer to watch movies together and this weekend its going to be Thalapathy Vijay's 'Bigil' and Karthi's 'Kaithi' that are locking horns at the box office. The Tamil Nadu government has delighted both the producers of the two movies as well as fans by announcing that Monday the 28th will be a holiday which means the films get a solid four day opening weekend which will reflect on the collections.
Now the 'Bigil' and 'Kaithi' producers, as well as fans of both Vijay and Karthi, are awaiting another leverage from the government which is permission for early morning shows without any glitches and also the proposed 24 hours cinemas. Minister Kadambur Raja has however stated that no special permissions will be given for the two or any other movies for early morning shows. It has been stated that on weekends and holidays five shows can be added with the first show starting at 8 am.
It is said that the concerned distributors and theater owners screening 'Bigil' and 'Kaithi' have approached the officials to reconsider the decision to allow them to screen midnight 1 am and early morning 4 am shows. It remains to be seen if the ruling ADMK party which does not have a friendly relationship with most Kollywood celebrities and especially with Vijay will oblige in this as well.
