What is Beast trailer's Premium Large Format? - Here are the details

The whole film industry is high on 'Beast' fever as Thalapathy Vijay is about to set our screens on fire with a lot of high-octane surprises this evening with the most-awaited 'Beast' trailer. The makers have been pouring film updates on the fans recently and now the team has dropped the news of the day which made the fans go frenzy.

Sun Pictures on Twitter has revealed that the 'Beast' Trailer will premier in the Premium Large Format (PLF) on Youtube and select theatres. It is the first Indian film to have a release in Premium Large Format. The Premium Large Format is equivalent to Digital Cinema IMAX Projection Aspect Ratio of 1:89:1. To put it simply, we can enjoy the trailer without any black bars on top or bottom and will get to experience the surreal action scenes on full screen without any compromise on the original quality.

Indiaglitz already broke to you that the crew is using high-end RED cameras for the first time in India to shoot 'Beast' sequences in 8K and 4K. Cinematographer Manoj Paramahamsa has used 'RED V-Raptor' and 'RED Ranger Monstro' cameras to shoot the film. It is also being reported that the production house is also planning to release the whole film in IMAX enhanced version and the Premium Large Format. The Premium Large Format Screens in India for 'Beast' include all IMAX Screens in India, Sullurpet EPIQ, PVR P(XL) & INOX PLF theatres. The trailer is said to be around 2 minutes and 57 seconds. 'Beast', directed by Nelson, also stars Pooja Hegde and Selvaraghavan. The film is slated to hit the screens on April 13.
