Thalapathy Vijay began shooting for his next film 'Thalapathy 66' in Chennai on April 7. The team wrapped up the first schedule, a song sequence, real soon and we already updated you that the set works are underway in Chennai for the second schedule.
Produced by Dil Raju's Sri Venkateswara Creations, the superstar actor joined with director Vamshi Paidipally of Thozha and Maharishi fame for his 66th film, which is touted to be a Tamil-Telugu bilingual. With music scored by Thaman S, Rashmika Mandanna is playing the female lead with Prakash Raj and Yogi Babu in supporting roles.
Sources suggested that veteran actor Sarathkumar will be playing Vijay's father in 'Thalapathy 66' and two mid-old actors will take up the roles of Vijay's brothers in the movie. While vintage actor Mic Mohan was buzzed to play the sibling role, he himself had denied the rumours.
As per the latest reports, actor Shaam, who was a top hero in the 2000s, is playing Vijay's brother in 'Thalapathy 66'. Shaam is best known for his roles in '12B', 'Lesa Lesa', 'Iyarkai', 'Ullam Ketkume' and 'Thillalangadi'. It is worth mentioning that he played one of Vijay's friends in 'Kushi'. An official confirmation is awaited in this regard.
