A few days ago there were reports floating on the internet that stated that ctor Shaam, who was a top hero in the 2000s, is playing Vijay's brother in 'Thalapathy 66'. Now Shaam has taken to his Instagram page to make a surprise announcement about the same.
Shaam is best known for his roles in '12B', 'Lesa Lesa', 'Iyarkai', 'Ullam Ketkume' and 'Thillalangadi'. He also played the role of Vijay's friend in his blockbuster hit movie Kushi. Shaam who is an active Instagram user posted a photo and confirmed that he is playing an important role in Thalapathy 66. "LOOKING FORWARD TO WORK WITH THE ONE AND ONLY THALAPATHY," he wrote.
Thalapathy 66, produced by Dil Raju of Sri Venkateswara Creations, is scripted jointly by Vamshi Paidipally, Hari, and Ashishor Solomon. Lyricist Vivek is penning the dialogues and additional screenplay.
Billed as a family entertainer, the film has Karthik Palani as the cinematographer and KL Praveen as the editor. Thaman is composing music for the film. Earlier, producer Dil Raju had revealed that they are aiming for a Deepavali 2022 release or for Pongal 2023.
