Superstar Rajinikanth’s ‘Thalaivar 171’ goes to the next level – Surprise details

Superstar Rajinikanth has completed 80 percent of the shooting of his new movie ‘Jailer’ directed by Nelson Dilipkumar and produced by Sun Pictures with Anirudh scoring the music.  The major highlight of the film is that Malayalam Superstar Mohan Lal and Kannada Superstar Shivarajkumar are starring alongside Rajini.

Meanwhile the pre-production work for Rajini’s ‘Thalaivar 171’ has kickstarted and he is reuniting with veteran director P. Vasu with whom he has worked previously in ‘Panakkaran’, ‘Mannan’, ‘Chandramukhi’ and ‘Kuselan’. 

 

Reports suggests that Vasu has taken a break from his current movie ‘Chandramukhi 2’ starring Raghava Lawrence and Kangana Ranaut to complete the full script of the Rajini film.  Sources say that A.R. Rahman will be scoring the music and the project will be bankrolled by Lyca Productions. The official announcement is expected on a festive date soon.

Rajini meanwhile will begin shooting for ‘Laal Salaam’ directed by Aishwarya Rajinikanth also produced by Lyca.  The film has Vishnu Vishal and Vikranth in the lead roles with veteran actress Jeevitha returning to Tamil cinema after several years.
