Ajith okays blockbuster hit director for ‘Thala 61’?

Thala Ajith had a solid 2019 delivering back to back blockbuster hits ‘Viswasam’ and ‘Nerkonda Paarvai’ and his new film ‘Valimai’ directed by H. Vinod and produced by Boney Kapoor is fifty percent complete.  The film that also stars Huma Qureshi and Yogi Babu will resume shooting only after the coronavirus is eradicated as advised by Ajith keeping in mind the safety of the cast and crew. 

Meanwhile according to reports talks have already started for ‘Thala 61’ and it is said that a big production house will be bankrolling it.  The same sources add that Ajith is keen to work again with his ‘Billa’ and ‘Aarambam’ director Vishnu Vardhan and has asked him to narrate his script to the producer.

Vishnu Vardhan has already shared with the media in many interactions that he has a historical script based on the life of King Rajendra Chola with Ajith in the title role.  Looks like this could be the project that will most likely be greenlighted if everything falls in place.  Do bear in mind this is very early stage to expect any confirmation on this one but the ground work for ‘Thala 61’ has definitely started for sure.
