Telugu film producers are constantly in talks about how to bring audiences to theatres, once restrictions are lifted. They are in fear about the existing model of exhibition not working at all.
Allu Aravind, ace producer said in an interview that small films will be the worst affected of them all due to the lockdown and pandemic. He said that the normal audiences will not think about watching films at theatres as the fear of catching Corona virus or Covid-19 disease won't go away soon.
He opined that it will take at least 2 years for film exhibition business to reach to its peak like before. He expressed concern about OTT income not being sufficient for small producers to survive producing films during this period as financial pressure will be high on them with increase in interest rates.
He concluded by saying that for few days exhibition system can only look at big star films and popular actors films to survive. Major number of producers are under same impression.
