In the wake of reports indicating Tollywood celebrities planning to meet Telangana's new Cinematography Minister, Komati Reddy Venkat Reddy, his recent comments have stirred discussions within the industry.

Minister Venkat Reddy made a significant observation about the film industry in his initial remarks. The seasoned Congress politician disclosed that, apart from producer Dil Raju, no other film personality had extended their congratulations to him upon assuming the role of Cinematography Minister. Dil Raju was the sole individual who reached out to offer his best wishes.

Expressing his curiosity about the workings of the film industry, he stated, "I want to know what is happening in the industry. I have ordered our secretary to report on the film industry within a week."

Establishing a positive working relationship with the Cinematography Minister is crucial for the film industry. The previous minister, Talasani Srinivas Yadav, maintained strong ties with figures in the film industry, resulting in various benefits such as flexible ticket pricing and the option for additional film screenings. The KCR government also demonstrated a favorable stance towards Tollywood.

In light of these remarks, the response from Tollywood bigwigs to Komati Reddy Venkat Reddy's comments and how they navigate their relationship with the new Congress government and the recently appointed Cinematography Minister remains to be seen.

Following the assumption of office, Minister Komati Reddy Venkat Reddy addressed the media on various state welfare subjects. Expressing discontent with the Telugu film industry, he claimed that, apart from producer Dil Raju, no other famous individuals or movie actors had contacted him after winning the Telangana elections. The industry's neglect has prompted Komati Reddy to inquire about the current state of affairs in the Telugu film industry, instructing his secretary to provide a report within a week. Tollywood has always been at the receiving end when change of guard happens in the two Telugu states and celebrities should be careful and ensure that the people in power are not hurt under any circumstances.
