Sushmita Konidela, the producer of the web series ‘Shoot-Out At Alair’ (the ZEE5 Original), is now keen on bankrolling one more crime drama. This time, she is said to be mooting a remake.
The costume designer, who is the daughter of Megastar Chiranjeevi, has acquired the remake rights of the Tamil-language crime thriller ‘8 Thottakkal’. More details about the remake are awaited.
It may be noted that ‘8 Thottakkal’ itself was inspired by the 1949 Japanese movie ‘Stray Dog’. In 2018, it was remake in Kannada as ‘8MM Bullet’.
Sushmita has been in the news ever since she became an active costume designer. She has worked on ‘Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy’, ‘Rangasthalam’ and is now doing ‘Acharya’. She started a production house by the name of Gold Box Entertainments and bankrolled ‘Shoot-Out At Alair’, which starred Srikanth and Prakash Raj as cops.
