Is Keerthy Suresh acting as the elder sister of Jayam Ravi?

Keerthy Suresh the Best Actress National Award winner is the busiest among her peers as she has films Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam and is shuttling between the three states and abroad for the shoots.  A photo started doing the rounds on the internet in which she is dressed as Kundhavai in Kalki’s epic ‘Ponniyin Selvan’.  It gave rise to speculations, that she has joined the cast of the Mani Ratnam multi-star movie based on the novel.

In ‘Ponniyin Selvan’, the Kundhavai character is the elder sister of Arul Mozhi Varman who is the title character.  In that case Keerthy would be playing the elder sister of Jayam Ravi in the Mani Ratnam film which had fans all excited and many posted that she is capable of carrying that role with ease.

However it all turned out to be a mere speculation as the company that the fan art was made at has clarified that the photo was done for its own purpose and has no connection with the mega film under production.

Mani Ratnam’s ‘Ponniyin Selvan’ has music by A.R. Rahman and the stellar star cast of Vikram, Karthi, Jayam Ravi, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Trisha, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Vikram Prabhu, Prabhu, Jayaram, Sarathkumar and Parthiban among others.
