Suriya Teams Up With Venky Atluri and Naga Vamsi in New Film

Although Suriya played a key role in Rakta Charitra 2, he never starred in a direct Telugu film. Now, ending the long wait, Suriya has reportedly signed his first straight Telugu movie as the lead.

There have been speculations about his Telugu debut for a while. Director Venky Atluri, known for delivering hits like SIR with Dhanush and Lucky Baskhar with Dulquer Salmaan, has convinced Suriya for this project.

Naga Vamsi’s Sithara Entertainments will produce the film, with shooting set to begin in May. The technical team from Lucky Baskhar will also be part of this movie. Suriya will join the project immediately after completing his current film with RJ Balaji.

Additionally, Geetha Arts is also in talks for another film with Suriya. If all goes well, he might work on two Telugu films simultaneously. However, it is too early to confirm this.

Sithara Entertainments has been aggressively producing films, and Venky Atluri remains a reliable choice. His recent success with Lucky Baskhar gave producers and stars confidence in his abilities.

Meanwhile, Suriya’s next release is Retro, directed by Karthik Subbaraj.
