Suriya has had much to cheer in recent times as he bagged Best Actor and Best Picture National Awards for his 2020 super hit film ‘Soorarai Pottru’. Sudha Kongara, Aparna Balamurali and G.V. Prakash Kumar also received the National awards for the same movie for Screenplay, Best Actress and Best Music Score respectively.
Suriya who was vacationing abroad with his family has returned to Chennai and will soon resume shooting for Bala’s ‘Vanangaan’ which has Krithi Shetty in the female lead role. His next after that will be a mega project directed by Siruthai Siva for producer UV Productions before moving on to the magnum opus ‘Vaadivaasal’ directed by Vetrimaaran. He is also committed to do films with Sudha Kongara, T.J. Gnanavel and Lokesh Kanagaraj among others.
Now news has broken out that Suriya has also listened to a script narration by maverick Bollywood director Faruk Kabir of ‘Khuda Haafiz’ and its sequel ‘Khuda Haafiz: Chapter 2 – Agni Pariksha’ both starring Vidyut Jammwal and Shivaleeka Oberoi in the lead roles.
The director has shared in his promotional interview for his latest film that Suriya has liked his script and the project is likely to take off soon. He has also revealed that he will be casting a Bollywood hero as well in the film and make it a pan Indian biggie. Stay tuned for the official update on this one.
