Suriya starrer Jai Bhim is the latest digital blockbuster in Kollywood. The film had remarkable performances by Suriya, Lijomol Jose and Manikandan. Apart from the leads, actor Tamizh who played SI Gurumoorthy has gained the appreciation of the masses. Critics have also heaped praise on his performance.

Now, it is learnt that Tamizh is an ex-police officer and has a service of 12 years. Previously, he featured in a small role alongside Dhanush in Asuran. Also, he worked as the assistant director of Vetrimaaran in Visaranai, Asuran and now Viduthalai. Last but not least, Tamizh is currently directing a Tamil film that is slated to hit the screens soon.

Vikram Prabhu starrer 'Tanakkaran' is helmed by Tamizh which marks his directorial debut. Tanakkaran is a film that talks about the brutality in the police training camps which is also based on the true incidents that took place in Tamilnadu. The star cast also includes Anjali, Lal, and MS Bhaskar in prominent roles. Ghibran will compose music for this film.
