Superstar Rajinikanth to act in the adaptation of Shakespeare’s play?

Vishal Bharadwaj is a big name in Bollywood who has bagged seven national awards for his brilliant work. The director is known for his films such as ‘Maqbool’, ‘Haider’ and ‘Om Kara’ which are the cinematic adaptations of Shakespeare’s world famous plays.

Now the director has spiked curiosity by quipping about working with Superstar Rajinikanth himself for his adaptation of the English bard’s ‘King Lear’. “Before making ‘Haider’, I worked on the script of ‘King Lear’ and visualised Rajinikanth in the lead role. He will be my first choice if and when I decide to make the film,” the ingenious director said.

Superstar Rajinikanth is constantly trying to reinvent his image in recent films, and getting him to see in a classical adaptation will be a visual feast for fans worldwide.
