Superstar Rajinikanth was in Hyderabad for a month-long shooting schedule for his upcoming mega flick 'Annaathe' and completed his entire portions. He returned a few weeks back to Chennai and got himself vaccinated for the coronavirus as well.

It is now reported that Rajini will be flying to the US for a much-needed long vacation and also for a routine health checkup there. Apparently from his side permissions were sought for flying in a private jet which was granted by the central government. The sources add that the jet is a sixteen-seater and the entire Rajini family will be traveling together.

Rajini's 'Annaathe' meanwhile is in postproduction and is expected to be a Diwali 2021 release if normalcy returns after the second wave of coronavirus. The film directed by Siruthai Siva is produced by Sun Pictures with D. Imman scoring the music. The principal cast comprises of Rajini, Keerthy Suresh, Meena, Khushbu, Soori and Jagapathy Babu.
