Sun Pictures has officially announced that Superstar Rajinikanth’s ‘Annaathe’ will release on Pongal 2021 silencing many speculations that were doing the rounds about the project.  A video of the title and the release announcement with a catchy background score has also come as a bonus.

‘Annaathe’ directed by Siruthai Siva with music score by D. Imman has Superstar Rajinikanth playing a villager role after a long time and the ensemble cast includes Khusbhu, Meena, Keerthy Suresh, Siddharth, Prakash Raj, and Soori.  Major portions of the film have been shot in Hyderabad before the coronavirus pandemic put a halt.
