Rajinikanth and Amitabh Bachchan are the two greatest icons of Indian cinema. The 1991 film, 'Hum', was the last time the legendary actors worked together. Now, they are coming together after more than three decades for Superstar Rajinikanth's 'Thalaivar 170', directed by TJ Gnanavel.

We already broke to you that Rajinikanth left for Mumbai for a short schedule in which the Big B will join the shoot. Amitabh is said to be playing a crucial role in this movie. Today, Thalaivar took to social media and wrote a heartfelt note on reuniting with the Big B. He shared a photo of himself with Amitabh Bachchan from the caravan and it is going viral.

Sharing the BTS pictures, Rajinikanth captioned, "After 33 years, I am working again with my mentor, the phenomenon, Shri Amitabh Bachchan in the upcoming Lyca’s 'Thalaivar 170' directed by T.J Gnanavel. My heart is thumping with joy!" (sic). This film is likely to be an encounter thriller with Rajini playing a retired cop, based on true events.

Produced by Lyca Productions, Thalaivar 170 features Rajinikanth, Amitabh Bachchan, Fahadh Faasil, Rana Daggubati, Manju Warrier, Ritika Singh, Dushara Vijayan, VJ Rakshan, GM Sundar and others. Anirudh Ravichander will be composing the musical score for this film with DOP by SR Kathir and editing by Philomin Raj.
