Suhasini courts trouble over language remarks

Suhasini Maniratnam has waded into the hyper-sensitive topic of language. At a time when many Tamilians are vocally against the Hindi imposition in various ways, the yesteryear actress has opined that Hindi-speaking people are good and therefore one must be versed in the language to interact with those people.
Strawman arguments have been used by Suhasini's critics, who are branding her as a politically-compromised Tamil Nadu resident. One troll provocatively asked if non-Hindi speakers are bad. Trolls are lashing out at Suhasini, adding that she should do movies only in Hindi if she is pro-Hindi.
Actually, in her remarks, Suhasini had added that Tamil people are good and everyone is good. She took a practical and humanistic stance instead of being carried away by language-based identity politics. The celeb's remarks have unnecessarily been blown out of proportion.
On the work front, Suhasini recently signed up to do 'Modern Love Hyderabad', an Amazon Prime anthology directed by Nagesh Kukunoor, Venkatesh Maha, Uday Gurrala, and Devika Bahudanam. Besides her, Aadhi Pinisetty, Nithya Menen, Ritu Varma, Revathy, and others are part of the cast.
