As reported earlier this week, descendants of Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy recently staged a dharna at the office of Ram Charan’s Konidela Production Company in Hyderabad. They demanded honorary payment for using the life story of their ancestor, who was a legendary freedom fighter.
As per the buzz in the industry, Reddy’s descendants are claiming money to the tune of Rs 5-6 Cr. This is said to be the main reason why Charan, the film’s producer, is yet to meet their demands. He is probably consulting lawyers on this issue.
Moreover, some fresh reports are saying that too many individuals are posing themselves as the true descendants of Reddy. This is another reason why there is a stalemate and Charan is going slow on settling the outstanding issues.
The release of the biopic, starring Megastar Chiranjeevi in the lead, is still months away. As such, the makers are carrying out things at leisure.
