Dorothy OTT Release: Karthik Subbaraj’s Film Now Streaming on Netflix in 5 Languages

Karthik Subbaraj’s Dorothy, his 10th film as a filmmaker, is now streaming on Netflix, giving the critically acclaimed movie another opportunity to reach a wider audience. Despite receiving positive reviews following its theatrical release, the film failed to achieve the box-office collections expected from it. Now, the makers will be hoping that the OTT release helps the film find the appreciation it deserves.

Starring Keerthy Suresh, Rishikanth and Sananth in the lead roles, Dorothy is available on Netflix in five Indian languages: Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi. The multilingual release is expected to help the film connect with audiences across different regions of the country.

One of the major highlights of Dorothy is its music, composed by Isaignani Ilaiyaraaja. The film also attracted attention at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) 2026, where it reportedly received a standing ovation, further adding to its reputation among cinema enthusiasts.

Backed by Sikhya Entertainment, Dhammam Films and Jio Studios, the film generated considerable interest for its content and filmmaking. However, its theatrical performance did not match the appreciation it received from critics.

With its arrival on Netflix, Dorothy now has a fresh chance to reach viewers who may have missed it in theatres. The availability of five language versions could play a key role in expanding its audience base.

The big question now is whether Dorothy will receive the response on OTT that it could not achieve at the box office. With its acclaimed reception, notable cast and Ilaiyaraaja’s music, the Netflix release could give Karthik Subbaraj’s film a new lease of life among streaming audiences.
