STR to play the main role in the sequel of offbeat comedy film!

Director Gokul of Idharkuthaane Aasaipattai Balakumara and Kashmora fame has already announced his upcoming film “Corona Kumar” in 2020. But, the makers haven’t disclosed the lead star of the movie.

Now as per the latest report Silambarasan TR has been roped in to play the lead in the film. STR fans have been in a frenzy of updates and showering in positivity since the return of their star. The star is spreading lots of love since he stepped into the second innings of his Cinema career.

Corona Kumar is said to be a sequel/spin-off of the director’s debut work Idharkuthaane Aasaipattai Balakumara. While Simbu will be the main focus in the film, Vijay Sethupathi is also reportedly set to make a special appearance as “Summar Moonji Kumar” as a continuation from the prequel.

STR will start shooting for the film soon, and the film is planned to be wrapped up in a quick time. Fans are eagerly waiting for the official word from the team.

Silambarasan has recently completed the shooting for the political thriller “Maanadu”, directed by Venkat Prabhu. The post-production works are proceeding at a brisk phase.
