The Kerala police has arrested a 28 year old woman Soumya in Kannur who killed her parents and daughter using rat poison. Investigations have revealed that the woman did the extreme step in hope of starting a relationship with her illicit partner.

It should also be noted that Soumya’s one other child had died in 2012, but she has stated that she has no part in that. According to the police, Soumya was separated from her husband and had killed her parents as they were obstacles to her plans.

Her mother Vimala died on March 7 and her father Kunhikannan died on April 13, and her daughter Aishwarya on January 31st. The three suffered from indigestion and nausea before death. After being found out, Soumya also said that she learned the poisoning method from her separated husband, but the cops didn’t buy her statements.

The police are currently investigating the youths who had been having relationship with Soumya which is expected to lead to more information on these disturbing series of murders.
