Aspiring to Star in Lokesh Kanagaraj’s Direction

Actor Soori recently expressed his desire to act in a film directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. In a recent interview, Soori stated, “Among the directors putting Tamil cinema on the global map, Lokesh Kanagaraj and Atlee are very significant. Just like S.S. Rajamouli from Indian cinema, these two have taken Tamil cinema to an international level.”

He further shared, “Lokesh Kanagaraj had approached me with 2 or 3 story ideas under his production banner. Those projects are likely to happen in the future. As an actor, I also have a strong wish to be part of a film directed by him. Hopefully, that too will materialize soon. Whether I will join the LCU (Lokesh Cinematic Universe) depends on the need of the story.”

Following his roles in ‘Garudan’ and ‘Viduthalai 2’, Soori’s latest movie ‘Maman’ was released on May 16. Soori wrote the story for the film, while it was directed by Prashanth Pandiyaraj. The film features a strong supporting cast including Aishwarya Lekshmi, Rajkiran, Swasika, Geetha Kailasam, Viji Chandrasekhar, Nikhila Sankar, Bala Saravanan, Baba Bhaskar, and child artist Prageeth Sivan in an important role. The movie has received mixed reviews from critics and audiences.
