Song Review: ‘Chettu Kinda Doctor’ (‘Devadas’)

The song is conceived to show sympathy towards the plight of the much-harassed doctor at the hands of a funnily overbearing don and his comedic followers.  Ramajogayya Sastry’s lyrics use colloquial language that sits perfectly well with the song’s folkish flavour.  The innocence of the lyrics is at ease with the charm of the mood!

Mani Sharma might just have given his best song after making a comeback, the ‘Bombat’ number from ‘LIE’ notwithstanding.  The Melody Brahma is in complete form here, proving that he can’t be written off.  

Padma Latha’s voice will have the children engaged for sure.  She sings with ease and conviction, all the while making us smile.

‘DevaDas’, starring Nagarjuna and Nani, will hit the screens on Sept 27.  Its first two songs are out on Aditya Music.
