Recently, sources revealed that Sudha Kongara is in talks with Dhanush and Sivakarthikeyan to revive 'Purananooru.' Today, thrilling news has emerged that Sivakarthikeyan is confirmed to team up with Sudha Kongara, replacing Suriya in 'Purananooru,' with the agreement for this venture now signed.

'Purananooru' will now be produced by a newbie, who was previously an assistant director to Vignesh Shivan. An official announcement regarding this project is expected very soon. Currently, Sivakarthikeyan is busy shooting for 'SK 23,' directed by AR Murugadoss. Meanwhile, Sudha Kongara's Hindi remake of 'Soorarai Pottru' has just been released in theatres.
