Sivakarthikeyan will be seen as a cartoonist in the upcoming action entertainer 'Maaveeran', one of the most talked about films in his career. Directed by Madonne Ashwin, the film's shooting is close to the finish line and the makers are set to kickstart the promotional works this week.

Shanthi Talkies, the production house which is bankrolling the mega scale project, dropped a special poster of the first single on Tuesday with the caption, "Get ready to celebrate" (sic). According to sources, the first single from the Maaveeran album will be launched on Sivakarthikeyan's birthday (February 17).

Bharath Shankar composed the songs in Maaveeran and the first single is said to be a mass kuthu song. The song was shot last week with a massive number of dancers using the mocobot camera. It is worth mentioning that the mocobot camera became famous after being used in big films like 'Vikram', 'Beast' and 'Thunivu'.

Maaveeran features SK, Aditi Shankar, Yogi Babu, Mysskin, Sunil, Saritha and others. The team is planning to wrap up the shooting by next month and aiming for a June release. The technical team of the bilingual movie includes Bharath Sankar as the music director, Vidhu Ayyanna as the cinematographer and Philomin Raj as the editor.
