Happy Birthday Director Siva

Today is the birthday of director Siva.

Siva has directed four films in Tamil so far that includes the upcoming 'Vivegam'. The three films that have released under his direction- 'Siruthai', 'Veeram' and 'Vedalam'- have been super hits or blockbusters. 'Vivegam' is one of the most anticipated films of the year and it is made on a huge scale. Out of four films he has directed in Tamil, three are with Thala Ajith. 

Siva started his film journey as a cinematographer of Prabhu Deva starrer 'Charlie Chaplin. Then he worked in Telugu films and made his directorial debut with the Anushka starrer 'Shouryam'. He entered Kollywood as the director of 'Siruthai' which is the remake of Telugu blockbuster 'Vikramarukudu'. Though it was a remake. Siva added more relatable comedy portions and that was the main reasons for the film's blockbuster success in Tamil. 

Teaming up with Ajith for 'Veeram', Siva gave him a complete makeover as a rural hero. Clad in a white shirt and veshtri throughout the film. The film was also a neat family entertainer and became a super hit.  He teamed up with Ajith for the second time for 'Vedalam' which was a perfect mass masala star vehicle film that also had an equal weightage for family sentiment. The film attracted huge female and family audience and ended up as a huge blockbuster.

Now Siva has made 'Vivegam' with Ajith on as an International thriller. All the promotional material prove that the film will certainly give the feeling of watching an international film. At the same time it will also have sentiment and emotions that can be easily connected by Tamil audience. Siva's status as a commercial filmmaker is all set to escalate to much bigger heights after the release of 'Vivegam' scheduled to hit the screens on August 24, 2017.
