Simbu starrer 'Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu' had a grand theatrical release on September 15. The film gained good word of mouth from the critics and the audience. VTK has minted Rs 50.56 crores in 4 days at the global box office, says an official report.

Silambarasan and the team interacted with the media to celebrate the success of 'Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu'. While speaking at the event, STR shared a strong message against body shaming and asked the press and media to not do the same.
Simbu said, "Some people trolled my looks while reviewing my previous films. But they can't say anything about my physique in VTK. Please don't insult anyone based on how they look. I may accept those insults but some people won't take it." Reportedly, the actor underwent a drastic transformation and lost around 20 kgs to play a 19-year-old in the film.
It is worth mentioning that Simbu put on a lot of weight and became fat, two years ago. He had a tough time in his career and was brutally trolled on the internet for his movie when he was fat. But the combat actor stunned everyone with his physical transformation by getting back into his old shape during the COVID lockdown.
