Simbu opts for a stylish change to his name

Simbu celebrated his 37th birthday with much fanfare with a number of celebrities including Venkat Prabhu, Jai, Bharathiraja, Cheran, SAC and Suresh Kamachi among others participating in the party.  It has been announced that he will henceforth be known as Silambarasan TR .  The latest poster of his upcoming movie ‘Maanaadu’ also carries the new name as well.

The multitalented star on his debut as a child artiste went with the name T.R. Silambarasan and then he was fondly called as Simbu by both celebrity friends and fans alike.  A few years back he decided to use only his initials and was billed in many films as STR.  Now the new stylish Silambarasan TR is what is going to precede all his movie titles.

Simbu’s dad T. Rajendhar is an exponent of astrology and numerology and accordingly the expansion of his name is said to be opted for after a long thought by the much-loved star.  His next release is going to ‘Maha’ costarring Hansika Motwani and Srikanth besides starting the shooting of ‘Maanaadu’ directed by Venkat Prabhu soon.
