Simbu who stayed in the USA for a couple of months to take care of his father T.Rajendhar's treatment there returned to India and started participating in the shooting of his next 'Pathu Thala'. After a major schedule in Bellary, Karnataka the team resumed work in Chennai.
A new BTS video from the 'Pathu Thala' set has gone viral now. Is shows Simbu who is playing a gangster seated on a chair holding a little girl while Malayalam actress Anu Sithara is holding on to him from behind his chair. Those who saw 'Mufti' the original Kannada film on which this one is based on will know that the scene is an emotional one involving the gangster his younger sister and niece. Anu Sithara is apparently playing Simbu's sister in the film.
'Pathu Thala' produced by Studio Green K.E. Gnanavelraja is directed by Obeli N Krishna with A.R. Rahman scoring the music. The cast comprises of Silambarasan TR, Gautham Karthik, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Kalaiyarasan, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Teejay Arunasalam & Others.
