Following his recent multi-starrer gangster flick Chekka Chivantha Vaanam with Mani Ratnam, it seems like Simbu has plenty of offers lined up for him. While the actor is awaiting the release of his next movie Vantha Rajavathaan Varuven, directed by Sundar. C, it has already been confirmed that he has been roped in to play the lead role in a couple of other projects, including Venkat Prabhu’s Maanaadu and Mani Ratnam’s on-screen adaptation of the famous historical Tamil novel Ponniyin Selvan.

Recent news is that Tamil politician and filmmaker Seeman will be casting Simbu as the lead character in his upcoming movie. Simbu will apparently play the role of a doctor in the untitled project. Seeman added that the film is going to be a contemporary one that encapsulates events surrounding the present day scenario. Anirudh is expected to compose the music for the venture.
