Court passes sensational order – What will be the reaction of Simbu-Hansika fans?

‘Maha’, directed by U.R. Jameel and produced by Mathi Azhagan under the banner Etcetera Entertainment, has Hansika in the reunites her with Simbu who is playing an extended cameo.  . The filmmaker had already sued the producer, alleging that the film was being prepared for an OTT release without his permission. On the same, he had requested an injunction. In addition, he claimed that the project was completed without his knowledge.

In his plea, Jameel also claimed that he had not been paid his full compensation and demanded Rs 10 lakh in compensation for interfering with his vision.  When the petition was heard by Judge Jayachandran, the producers consented to pay the director Rs. 5.5 lakh that was owed to him, and he consented as well.

It was also revealed that the producer is working on an OTT release for ‘Maha’ and accepting this, the Court dismissed the motion for an interim restraining order preventing the film’s release. In the meanwhile, the judge postponed the hearing to June 28 and ordered both sides to submit written arguments in the main case.
