A few weeks back there was huge controversy as producer Michael Rayappan and director Aadhik Ravichandran called on a press meet in which they accused Simbu of causing huge losses to them due to his non-cooperation during the filming of the ill-fated 'Anbanavan Adangadhavan Asaradhavan'.

Simbu had called Aadhik Ravichandran demanding an explanation and has recorded the conversation in which the young director admits that he did not voluntarily speak against his hero but was forced to do so.  Simbu on his part goes to the extent of stating that he would have been happy if Aadhik would have gained a new movie or money by levelling false charges against him but since that did not happen it had hurt him badly.

It is still unkown how this private conversation leaked out but it does contradict the statements and allegations made during the above mentioned press meet in which it was even suggested that Simbu dubbed on a cell phone from his bathroom and was absent on most shooting days.
