Simbu had made a return to the mass entertainer zone with his last release Vanthaa Rajavathaan Varuven released last month, following which he had scored music and played a cameo role in Oviya starrer most talked about youth entertainer 90 ML directed by Anita Udeep.

With the news on him making an extended cameo appearance as Hansika's pair in her 50th movie Maha directed by debutant UR Jameel becoming official, the actor will finish Maha and then join Venkat Prabhu's Manadu produced by Suresh Kamatchi.

The latest speculation is that Simbu will play a negative shaded role in an upcoming movie which will star Arya in lead role, and that this movie which might be produced by Studio Green will be the remake of 2017 Kannada blockbuster 'Mufti' starring Shiva Rajkumar and Sri Murali. It is said that Sarathkumar has also been approached for a role. It is to be seen if the speculation turns out true.
