‘Simba’ teaser – promises a technically slick stoner movie

The official teaser of what is touted to be Tamil cinema’s first stoner film ‘Simba’ released this evening. The 104 second teaser which is eye-catchy and deliberately offbeat hints at a well crafted movie.
 
Bharath’s monologue kicks off the visually stunning teaser into some deeper aspects that we may expect in the film. From the teaser one can discern the film will be about a lonely stoner under existential crisis whose life is impacted when a new neighbour moves in. 
   
Claustrophobic shots of the protagonist’s home, his lazy diction and the contrasting laidback/serious vibe that the teaser oozes out assures us of a straight solid stoner movie. ‘Simba’ is touted to be a dark comedy is directed by Arvind Sridhar. 

Apart from Bharath, the starcast also includes Premgi Amaran, Ramana and Bhanu Sri Mehra in other pivotal roles. Sinu Sidharth is the lensman while the editing is handled by Achu Vijayan.

Music for ‘Simba’ has been scored by Vishal Chandrasekhar and the movie is being bankrolled by K.Sivaneswaran under the banner Cinerama Studios.
