ZEE5 Telugu’s latest original investigative thriller Panchanama is making a strong impact among OTT audiences. The six-episode crime thriller, which premiered on September 11, 2026, has crossed an impressive 25 million streaming minutes, highlighting the growing interest surrounding the series.
Starring Bharath Srinivasan in the lead role and directed by Mohan Srivatsa, Panchanama combines an emotionally driven investigation with a layered medical-crime mystery and a widening conspiracy. The series has emerged as another homegrown Telugu thriller offering audiences a compact yet intriguing investigative narrative.
Panchanama revolves around police officer Jai Ram, who refuses to believe that the death of his younger brother Aadi was merely an accident. Determined to uncover the truth, Jai begins investigating the circumstances surrounding his brother’s death.
What initially appears to be a personal search for answers soon develops into something much bigger. His investigation leads him towards a series of suspicious deaths, concealed identities and unexpected connections, eventually pointing towards a larger medical syndicate.
The emotional connection between Jai and the case forms the core of the series, giving the investigation a personal dimension. Every new clue not only takes the story forward but also raises the stakes for the protagonist.
Bharath Srinivasan is one of the key attractions of Panchanama. His portrayal of Jai Ram brings a controlled and serious quality to the character of the police officer.
The actor’s restrained body language and measured performance complement the investigative nature of the role, while Jai’s personal connection to the mystery allows the character to move beyond the usual cop template.
Roopa Lakshmi is another performer who has drawn attention for portraying a character with shades that are different from some of her previous screen appearances.
The technical aspects of Panchanama also play an important role in establishing its crime-thriller atmosphere.
Naresh Kumaran’s background score adds tension to the investigation, while cinematographer Sandeep Kanth N contributes to the dark visual treatment of the series. The combination of cinematography and music helps maintain the mood of secrecy and suspense surrounding the medical-crime storyline.
With just six episodes, Panchanama also follows a compact storytelling format. Most episodes reportedly run for around 20–30 minutes, making the series suitable for viewers looking for a thriller that can be completed in a relatively short viewing window.
