Silk Smitha’s last film to release soon

Yesteryear sex siren Silk Smitha passed away in 1996 when she was at the peak of her career. However the audience will get to see her in Silverscreen very soon.

Silk had acted in a Tamil film ‘Raga Thalangal’ directed by Thirupathi Rajan The film was completed in 1995 but it could not be released due to its controversial content and the story which was related to caste issues. It was Silk Smitha’s last film. Now the makers have made some changes to the film and they have initiated the process to release the film after 23 years of its completion. Thirupathi Rajan confirms the news and he is also confident of releasing the film as a treat to Silk Smitha fans. 

Meanwhile there have been many biographical films on Silk Smitha who ruled the roost as an item dancer as well as heroine throughout the 1980s and early 90s.
