Shanmuga Pandian Teams Up with Mithran Jawahar for Next Film After ‘Kombuseevi’!

The film ‘Kombuseevi’, starring actor Shanmuga Pandian (younger son of the late actor-politician Vijayakanth) and directed by Ponram, is releasing in theaters today (December 19, 2025). Featuring Sarathkumar, Kali Venkat, Dharnika, and others in key roles, the movie is produced by Star Cinemas with music composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja. Promotional activities for the film are in full swing.

In the meantime, Star Cinemas, the same production house behind ‘Kombuseevi’, will also back Shanmuga Pandian’s next project. This film will be directed by Mithran Jawahar, known for hit movies like Thiruchitrambalam, Yaaradi Nee Mohini, and Uthama Puthiran.

Mithran Jawahar, currently working on Adhrishtasaali starring Madhavan, has reportedly faced financial issues delaying that project. He plans to start the Shanmuga Pandian film during this gap. Pre-production work is progressing rapidly, with casting for co-stars and technicians underway.

Mithran Jawahar’s presence at the ‘Kombuseevi’ audio launch event has further fueled speculation about this collaboration. An official announcement is expected soon.
