First Look: Shruti Haasan’s Character Revealed in Superstar Rajinikanth’s ‘Coolie’

The creators of Superstar Rajinikanth’s highly anticipated film ‘Coolie’ have been steadily unveiling the film’s star-studded cast over the past few days. Malayalam actor Soubin Shahir and Telugu actor Nagarjuna Akkineni were recently introduced as Dayal and Simon, respectively. Today, the production team has officially announced that Shruti Haasan will also join the cast of this upcoming action thriller.

Shruti Haasan had previously hinted at her involvement in ‘Coolie’ through her Instagram stories when the film’s shooting commenced in July. According to the latest update from Sun Pictures, Shruti will portray the character of Preethi, who is said to be the daughter of Rajinikanth’s character in the movie. The newly released poster features Shruti holding a shovel, which has quickly gone viral across social media.

Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, ‘Coolie’ is shaping up to be a major action-packed film. The movie’s technical team includes Anirudh Ravichander as the music composer, Girish Gangadharan as the cinematographer, Philomin Raj as the editor, Sathees Kumar as the art director, and the Anbariv duo responsible for stunt choreography. ‘Coolie’ is slated for a worldwide release in the summer of 2025.
