Director Venkat Prabhu, who is awaiting the release of his fun filled entertainer Party featuring an ensemble cast including Mirchi Shiva,Nivetha Pethuraj, Regina Cassandra and Sanchita Shetty, is next gearing up to begin shooting of his next, the Simbu starrer political entertainer Maanaadu.

Even before the release of these two expected movies,another project connected to Venkat Prabhu has received good response. Raa, a short film produced by Venkat Prabhu's Black Ticket Company along with WM productions was screened yesterday at Prasad labs yesterday, and the event saw a huge turnout as more than 800 people came for the premiere.

Directed by Pozhilan, Raa is a suspense thriller, starring Meesha Ghoshal, Vignesh Vijayan and Akilan SPR, and the short film is edited by Selva RK of Pariyerum Perumal fame. Venkat Prabhu appreciated the short film for its sensible content and engaging screenplay. Many celebrities like Chimbu Deven, Sakthi Saravanan, Praveen KL,Justin Prabakaran, Chandran, Aravind Akash were present during the premiere of Raa.
