As a shock to the film industry, this morning news came out that noted Kollywood actor - music composer Vijay Antony 's daughter Meera died by committing suicide. Reportedly, Meera was 16 years old who was studying at Anna Salai school.

As per the media reports, she was found dead in her room at their residence at Teynapet, Chennai in the morning hours of Tuesday. The young girl is studying her 12th standard at a private school in Chennai.

Vijay Antony and his wife Fatima Antony are having two daughters named Meera and Lara. Reports suggest that Meera was under stress for the couple of years which made her take the extreme step.

Reportedly, Meera was found hanging herself with the help of her dupatta when her father looked in her room at 3 AM in the morning hours of Tuesday. Immediately she was rushed to the hospital where her death was declared by the doctors.

Incidentally, five years back, in an interview Vijay Antony revealed that he is facing suicidal thoughts due to work pressure and extreme stress levels. After hearing Meera's death news, celebrities from the Tamil industry are sending condolences mesages to Vijay Antony and his family members on social media platforms.
