In a massive and shocking security breach at the Lok Sabha, two individuals leapt from the visitor's gallery, releasing smoke canisters during Wednesday's Zero Hour at 1:02 pm. Gripping CCTV footage captured one man in a dark blue shirt skillfully evading capture by leaping across desks, while the second dispersed smoke in the gallery. Both were eventually subdued by quick-thinking MPs and vigilant security personnel.

This incident unfolded on the solemn anniversary of the Parliament attack, intensifying the scrutiny of security measures. The Lok Sabha, adjourned until 2 pm, witnessed commendable efforts by MPs courageously attempting to apprehend the intruders. A Trinamool Congress MP reported chemical spraying, causing irritation, leading to a subsequent security cordon in and around Parliament.

The security lapse has raised significant questions, particularly on the 22nd anniversary of the old Parliament building terror attack. Earlier in the day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Droupadi Murmu paid tribute. Security agencies are meticulously reviewing CCTV footage and interrogating on-duty staff to unravel the details of the breach.

Anticipating the need for corrective measures, a meeting to review Parliament's security is on the horizon. Reports suggest an Aadhaar card with a Lucknow address was found on one of the intruders. Delhi Police detained a protesting man and woman outside Parliament, engaging in the use of colored smoke.

The detained protestors are identified as Neelam Kaur Singh (42) from Hisar and Amol Shinde (25) from Latur, Maharashtra. Acknowledging the security loophole, BJP MP Rajendra Agarwal emphasizes swift action. Congress MPs Gaurav Gogoi and Karti Chidambaram vividly described the release of foul-smelling yellow gas and accompanying slogans, underscoring concerns about the security of the new Parliament building.

As investigations unfold, the expectation is for serious deliberations to address and rectify the security lapse within the Lok Sabha. People of India are getting shocked to see these security breaches happening quite frequently despite heavy and stringent vigil by the agencies.
